Tesla unveiling the “missing piece”
Invites for a new Tesla event have been sent to press the last couple days, teasing what they are calling “the missing piece”. This event is scheduled for April 30th, so we only have to wait a couple days before finding out what this is all about.
While there is not much to go on, the biggest thing we are expecting Tesla to announce is a home battery CEO Elon Musk has been talking about. This battery is said to have the ability to store solar power, and will be rented, as opposed to sold.
Opinion: Those who know even a bit about solar power can attest to the fact that it is amazingly expensive. Can Tesla bring us an affordable option that could make solar energy mainstream? It sure sounds like it – we just have to find out how affordable this really will be.
