Never forget (your headphones): TurtleCell launches iPhone case with retractable earphones

In an attempt to combat the annoyance of forgotten headphones, startup TurtleCell has produced an iPhone case that packs a retractable set that ensures you’ll always be wired for sound (when was the last time you forgot your phone?).

The cable extends 42-inches from the case and retracts at the push of a button.

The case weighs 1.83oz, so TurtleCell has kept the extra bulk down to a minimum.

The major worry is TurtleCell has picked your headphones for you, but they say that’s ok as they “work with a top-quality manufacturer who produces headphones for Beats and V-Moda,” says brand director Jeremy Lindlebauer.

That’s ok then. The next, and biggest, concern is the extra strain on the cables. We’ve all fallen foul to the all too common deterioration of connections, but at $39.95, they might be worth a punt.
